Most of the discussion on the other 4.3 thread is related to exclusively iPhone stuff like tethering and running the phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot so I though I'd kick off this thread for us iTouch users.

iOS 4.3 is only for 3G and 4G models of iTouch.

I upgraded to iOS 4.3 on my iTouch 4G yesterday. So far the differences I can see are the Facetime logo and on the Settings screen you can now see a 'Location Services' option, this used to be buried in the 'General' section of Settings.

Anyone else notice visual or functional differences?

 Everybody knows exactly what's meant when people say "iTouch". There's nothing wrong with shorthand. Saves people typing "iPod Touch" every time.

Thanks for that. Just showing some people who might be confused by what he/she meant. Margins must be tight if on your death-bed you say "I wish I didn't write the letters POD on my boards posts!". Over-zealous abbreviation is a pet hate of mine. Unless you need to squeeze x amount of characters into a text when you life depends on it!

Do people from Frankfurt say 'I'm from Frankfurt-Au-Main?' - no they don't. Do people from Newcastle say 'I'm from Newcastle-upon-Tyne?' - no they don't and we won't even go near the second largest city in NI.

People abbreviate things all the time when to do otherwise would be considered pedantic, they say things like 'I'm meeting Joe at 2 for lunch', not '2 p.m.' or '2 o'clock', just '2' since in the context it's obvious what they mean, ditto 'iTouch'.

Just showing some people who might be confused by what he/she meant.

People who don't know what I mean by 'iTouch' don't own one so this thread doesn't apply to them.

    You don't say.

Yep, and add to the fact another device used the name, hence Apple unable to use it for their own iPod Touch.
