My Heating systen uses "Giocomini" Rad. valves. Anyone know who supplies replacement parts/Valves in Dublin area?.

The "valves" and the "thermostatic elements" are two seperate things. Maybe it is sufficient to exchange the thermostatic elements? No draining, just click-on the new elements onto the old valves.

Excuse my ignorance here but does this mean you can insert thermostatic elements onto existing std valves without the need to replace the valves with custom TRV's. Sound almost too good to be true!

No, the actuation is totally different.

Yes, I want to buy spare thermostatic heads to aid in troubleshooting. Some of the existing "Giocomini" valves don't seem to be operating properly. (Some seem to be always on no matter what they are set at)
    Thanks, I will try Davies.

    Yes.

Check the various manufacturer's home pages to see which element fits onto the valves.

As long as the old valve can be closed with straight pressure a thermostatic element can be found to do this job.

It could be like my house, where the heads work but the valves won't close properly.

Find one that you know is working and swap it with one that doesn't work and see if its the head or the valve that's the problem.

Here a manufacturer's list with his various solutions:

Click through the pdf list and see what fits.
Other manufacturers have similar information available.
