UPC Package question

    I am with UPC and here's what I am paying:

    20mb broadband - €34
    Digital Select Extra - €31

    Total - €65

    My contract finished on 7th March, since the last time I renewed. I am with UPC for 5 years.

    Now my question - UPC are advertising package for new customers for €65 which includes, 20mb broadband, Digital Select Extra and Telephone with free evening calls. Is it possible for me to get this package and get the telephone since I am already paying €65? The new package is just for the new customers or existing customers can get this if they are out of contract?

    Is it worth giving them a call and haggling? As you all know giving them a call means 10 min of holding time and another 10-15min of talk time. I am happy with the service but calling them is big pain.

    I have also heard about some customer loyalty department. How does that work and how can I get through them? Will that help?

    If anyone has any idea or experience, please share....

    I saw a deal on there website last year for Phone Anytime,15 MB BB, HD TV & SKY Sports all for €95 a month but it said it was only available to new customers.

    I rang there customer service dept. & looked to get the deal even though I was an existing customer. I said I had been a loyal customer for the previous 5 years but they said the offer was only available to new customer so I said I wanted to cancel my subscription.......They then said they would get someone to ring me back in relation to cancelling. A member of there customer loyalty team rang me back the following day & straight away said it would be no problem to upgrade my package.

    It might be worth your to go along the line of give it to me as a loyal customer or I will cancel my Subscription and see what happens as this worked for me, if they don't upgrade you, you don't really have to cancel if you don't want to ;).
