looks interesting, with the Dublin club scene gone stale for the most part this is a bold move, best of luck to them!

I actually remember quite well the opening and closing of the original Kitchen, we tried every blag under the sun but couldn't get into the opening night, U2 were there along with other assorted rock stars and models, i think i ended up going to Sides anyway:D

The closing night was all hush hush and i only found out about it by accident, i was at a Drum & Bass night in the Temple Bar Music Centre and someone i met said they were leaving to go to the Kitchens last ever night so i promptly left too and went around,it wasn't even advertised and it wasn't even full but it was a great night and a lot of the regulars who i got to know over the years were there, end of an era i thought until i see this, it is indeed a bold move, lets face it the scene in Dublin has been stale enough now for a while compared to what it used to be and i personally think they will struggle but i wish them well, ill definitely go one night for old times sake.;)

What happened to the DJ who was sacked from The Kitchen because he refused her music request?

Don't suppose there'll ever be Vodka and RB or Pint bottles of Budvar for 2 euro ever again ?

T'was Aiden Kelly wasn't it ? He never played again from what I heard, too disgraught at the thought that a supermodel could obviously pick better music than him* :p

Pretty sure the sacking didn't last long though.

Tounge firmly stuck in cheek BTW hehe

Loved the kitchen so much :)

It was my second home on tues and wed nights for a time i think the £ vodka, redbull and silver deals were probably the reason for this. :o

Great news that it's back can't wait to see what they're done with the place, it's about time dublin got a new dance club, hopefully they'll have the sound nicely sorted unlike some other dublin venues :P

It went well, great crowd in. The venue hasn't changed much. The moat is gone the dj booth is bigger and the place is a bit shinier.
