I have a wood pellet burner installed in my house. It cost €1350 - €1500 per year to run it. How much does oil cost in comparison? House size 3,100 sq foot.

Bloody expensive! I have a 1300sq foot house and I would say I spend Eur100/month, with a couple of months respite during the summer. And I only have it on the evenings as I work f-time.House is 18 years old though, so insulation wouldn't be great.
Oil is only getting more and more expensive it seems..

House is one year old and in the first year we used 1000L but that was on full time at the start to dry the house out.

    Kboc,
what is the heat demand of your house? And what type of HP have you? Our oil has cost us ~€7/day for last month and a half!! bucking boiler must be bucked. Just ran out the other day to my disbelief, now to get someone to check it out.
