    Hi people, Long time lurker first time poster in this section.

    I am currently thinking of a active PA system for small - medium pub gigs.

    The main venue I DJ in has its own BOSE sound system installed so this is just for any gigs I do away from this venue.

    I am considering 2 x QTX Sound Pro Series 15" 800W Active Speaker's.

    The spec of them are
    Compact ABS moulded 2-way speaker cabinet with integrally formed radial horn, carrying handle, stacking feet and built-in mixer-amp section.
    * Titanium compression horn driver
    * Shock-resistant ABS case
    * PTC driver protection
    * Mic/line inputs
    * 35mm top-hat fitting
    * Integral handle

    Has anyone got any experience with this brand or can recommend anything similar in the same price bracket (€400 - €600)?

    Thanks for reading

    never heard of them to be honest, if you google the brand with review it should throw something up for ya

    if you're looking for speakers in the same price range check out thomann.de or musicstore.de, click the Irish flag (obviously) and away you go, delivery to your door free in 3/4 working days

    hope that helps you out

    QTX are a decent budget brand by skytec. For a little more money you could get much better sound. A forum I frequent had a speaker meet recently and these were voted the best sounding speakers amongst many more expensive setups. Add a sub when you can afford it for bigger gigs.

    These are cracking for the money, weigh a tonne but great sound for what they cost. Very reliable too from what I have heard.

    Yamaha make some great active ones. The MSR400's are great 400watts each and 880 a pair
