Charity Bike Ride Manchester to Kilkenny...advice appreciated

I am currently organising a charity bike ride in memory of my dad, travelling from Manchester (his adopted home) to Inistioge, Kilkenny (his home) and am just looking for some advice and guidance for the trip once we hit Ireland. The trip is planned this summer and there will be around 30 of us riding with 4 or 5 vehicles in support.

After getting off the ferry from Liverpool to Dublin (arriving 5.30am so hopefully less traffic and can get out of the City fairly easily?!) we plan to ride to Rathdrum on day 1 and then onto Inistioge on day 2. I’ve a few burning questions below so any help appreciated!

Strategy for cycling with 30 riders – form smaller groups or go as one?
Do I need to inform Gardai?
Any route tips for either day?
Any other tips or suggestions will be gratefully received….!!

    Thanks in advance…
