Wouldn't mind seeing any of the A330's in that livery :)

I hope they keep it in this livery for ever and ever.

I hope CIE also follow suit and bring back some retro liveries.:)

It is nice, would of prefaired the 80's livery.

Well this is my favourite of the classic EI liveries so I am somewhat biased.

In pure marketing terms I think that this livery makes the most sense as it stands out from the previous and future 'green top' liveries.
Its a strong contrast to the current livery.

Painting a A330 in an old livery over the winter maintenance cycle was briefly considered about 10 months ago but I believe was shelved for cost reasons.

The reason they choose that livery was because there was a vote on each livery and that one came out on top.

Cant wait to see her in the flesh!

Still sign of that Korean A380 from the spray hangar.

What's the story with the reg? F-WWDV
Should it not have an EI-xxx reg?

They all have F-regs when being manufactured and tested. They'll get an country specific reg when it's delivered to the customer (Aer Lingus in this case)

The wording on the livery on the aircraft flying to the states was "Irish International Aer Lingus" and in Europe it was the other way around "Aer Lingus Irish International"

Anyone got pics of original aircraft which bore this livery?
    What years/aircraft/routes?

Would have been cool to see an A330 with the old livery in JFK

So is this a brand new plane? Or does is it an existing plane that gets an F Reg for the painting and reverts back to an IE reg after?

Just look up the airline on wikipedia - there are plenty of photos there.

This is a 75th anniversary thing yeah?

Here's a couple of Air Canada special liveries for anniversaries:

They are 75 next year so hopefully they have something nice in the works.

According to the usually reliable Jethros EI should have possession of 4634/EI-DVM inside a fortnight.

Arrival currently planned for 24th. However as with all aircraft handovers this could change right up to the morning of the 24th.
