    HI
I need some advice from the experts out there as two mechanics now cant answer my worrying question: Why do i have no brake pedal some mornings and have it others? I thought it was linked with the freezing weather but it hasnt consistently been so. the minute i pump the pedal it returns but that not a great comfort when it happens. My car is a 04 2.0diesel Mondeo. Help Please!

You need a better mechanic. That sounds bloody dangerous.

Did you just ask the two mechanics?

Or did you leave it in with them and they couldn't fix it? I cant think how a mechanic would release a car without getting to the bottom of that one.

I'd be thinking worn master cylinder seal or similar to start with.

I'd get the car seen to by a mechanic, in a garage!

I'd say its going to be a problem with the master cylinder. Possibly also ABS pump.

Thats assuming you are not loosing any fluid? Have you been keeping an eye on the resevoir?

Resevoir not dropping level. would it still be master cylinder problem when it is so sporadic? thank for replies
