Hi all, we are having a very recession friendly wedding which will involve a trip to the registry office in Dublin and then a nice lunch afterwards for around forty people. Does anyone have any suggestions on somewhere in town that would cater for that amount of people? child friendly preferably
    Thank you

Olivier Quenet now runs the restaurant http://www.oliviers.ie . We're pretty sure that we're having ours there. The food is amazing like Michelin Star quality.

This is a great place a friend of mine had her wedding there (only 60 people). The emphases was on good food and close friends http://www.bangrestaurant.com/ I noticed on the site they haven't sorted out their weddings page so hard to get an idea of what they charge per head.

Oh oh.. I've just had another great idea!!! I went for the pre theater on http://www.mvcillairne.com/ and it was amazing! Great setting really classy brass and white lillen and the food was top notch. I actually think it takes exactly 60 for weddings....but the children thing maybe a problem, because it's on the river. If you want to check it out maybe go for the pre theater think its around 25 euro 3 course.

I love my food I could play this game all day :D

    Hi,

We are also getting married (not quiet soon though, at the end of 2012...) but I feel we should start to get all the arrangements tight up!
I went to my friend's wedding last year at Beaufield Mews, is not a big big place but intimate and cozy. I would definitely have it on mind if my wedding party is not big big

we're having ours in brasserie sixty6 on georges street, great mixed menu, very very accommodating to our needs, got a brilliant price from them too... we'll be in our own section of the restaurant (65people) and the manager told me just to drop whatever decor i want into them and he'll sort it or give him a budget and a few ideas and he'll organise everything for you!

We had our meal at the Ashling Hotel on Parkgate Street. The food was absolutely amazing and they really went out of their way to make us feel special. We didn't book out a room but we still had the whole place to ourselves because I think they serve lunch in a different room or something.
