I don't think I have seen any of these cars on the road to be honest. Don't seem to a great success so far. It's basically a Suzuki Alto, built in India but sold as the Nissan Pixo in Europe.

I sat in one passing time in a dealers recently. Thought it was a horrid place to spend time. At least an Aygo or a Twingo can be a little funky.

The Aygo is a better buy! But these cars are only city run abouts! 60MPG though is great thesedays! But the wheels on them are like bicycle wheels!:)

I'd rate a Panda above the Pixo and that has been around since 2004.

Fiat make decent cars these days and the Panda is a fine car for the market it is in.

You pays your money, you make your choice!

But I'd choose the Aygo or IQ!

The IQ is more expensive to buy though. I'm sure the Pixo would be fine for it's intended Market but there are quite a few other options OP.

    Nissan Pixo 1.0 SE €9,855

That's the top of the range auto though?

It's €17915 for an iQ 1.0 Luna Multimode.

only one cheaper than the 4 seat Strata is the 2 seat Strata at €13,660 but as the Pixo is also 4 seat it's the fairest comparison

    1.0 STRATA 2 SEATER € 13,660
    1.0 STRATA 4 SEATER € 14,375
    1.0 LUNA € 16,545
    1.0 STRATA € 15,750 (AUTO)
    1.0 LUNA € 17,915 (AUTO)
    1.4 D-4D SOL € 20,370

We can get a Pixo for €8,200 out the door with an almera 03 trade in.

I will definitely look at the Panda.

Nothing wrong with the iQ. If anything, it's the only innovative small car we've really seen since the Mini.

Also look at the Hyundai i10 and Kia Picanto:

FFS! What year you livin' in? 1978? Tell Gene Hunt I was askin' for him!

Bigger FIATs aren't the last word in reliability but the Panda is a small, uncomplicated yoke, has a good reputation. Friend has one - loves it. Looks better and prob drives better than anything else of that class (although not that familiar with these type of cars). Great use of space and looks good.

Nissan Pixo is a mutt. A year old Aygo or Kia/Hyundai would be a far better buy.

But I'd go for the Panda...

The Aygo is a Toyota design built in the Czech republic. The Pixo is a Suzuki design built in India. I'd buy a 2nd hand Aygo ahead of a new Pixo.

    But if I wanted a tiny car and I had €10K, I'd get a 500.

Yeah I have owned a few fiats over the years and they had great engines and not so great everything else. I would still buy one even if they still had their old rep.

Thanks for the info, but I meant dimensionally they are almost identical.

Anyway I was in with the Nissan dealer again, I told him I was on my way to pick up the new megane and he said you wanna watch them for their engine troubles.

I just looked at him and laughed and pointed to the qashqai behind him. He didn't know they were the same engine. Makes me wonder if I wanna deal with someone who hasn't a clue about cars.
