Im looking for a suggestions for a nice break for the missus and I this year, hoping to go around august / early sept time.

Last year we were on honeymoon and went to the seychelles and then onto a safari in kenya.

We especially enjoyed the seychelles, so would like to go somewhere and stay in a 5* resort, in a safe country, nice weather, not crazily expensive once you get there (i.e. we want to be able to eat out and not have to pay £100 just to have lunch).

For info, we are both 30, looking for somewhere that there wont be kids and that there are a few activities but generally just looking for a nice relaxing break.

Can anyone suggest somewhere good? dont mind where really. we are thinking malaysia but havent a clue at the moment really.

It's not the seychelles but the Costa Smeralda in Sardinia is pretty up market with very little kids, it can be expensive in parts but has some of the best beaches in Europe and it quite relaxing.
It's pretty cheap to get to just fly into olbia and rent a car. I don't know how rich you are but a 5 Start hotel would be out of the question. It's a billionaires playground.
Elba is also beautiful with a lot more to do an see but depending on the time of year it could be overrun with kids as a lot of Italians well to do holiday there, make sure kids are gone back to school. Don't expect to meet any irish/english. August/ Early september would be the best time to visit, it averaged 35 while were were there last year and the year before.

You should check out http://www.tropicalsky.ie/ I got a pretty good deal for this years holiday with them, just counting the weeks till i'm sipping on a Pina Colada puffin on a Monte Cristo:)

cheers for that, was thinking of going a little further afield, 5* in europe isnt the same value as it is in asia or somewhere like that :0

Cuba, don't think there's any 5 stars there, well were staying in them but by all accounts there what we'd consider 3 stars.
Going for 10 nights, 3 in havana and 7 in valadero, the Valadero is all inclusive so all meals and drink are included even the mini bar.

It's just somewhere they say you should visit before castro dies. Really looking forward to it, probably kick myself I didn't head for the seycehlles or jamica but hey there's always next year.

I wouldn't knock sardinia or elba, they really are top places even compared to far flung destinations.
