I'm thinking about changing my car. I have a 3 door 1.4 Citroen Xsara and I would like to get a 5 door reasonable, reliable car.
My boss thinks all cars except for BMW's, Toyota's, Skoda's and Volkswagan are sh*t.

    Any opinion on this??

Tell us what you want from a car, what kind of use you are giving it, what you like and are you limited to engine size, preference petrol or diesel?

We can then give you some suggestions.

I used my car every day going to and from work, altogether about 20miles a day. Also I use it alot at the weekend. I would prefer a petrol car, or if there's a car out there that runs on water be great due to petrol costs!! Not sure what litre to go for, was thinking about going down to 1.2 to reduce running costs and tax costs but am i right in thinking this. Wud a 1.4, 1.6 be just as cheap.

It's a tired joke told these days by people who listen to pub talk.

When looking for a car do your homework check what the masses are driving and research

The cars your boss mentioned are expensive -so please bear in mind you get what you pay for

Cheap cars can be basic enough in function and reliability and materials

Expensive normally applies -attention to detail / strong build quality
    and strenght in reliability.
