Grinding, front left

    Hi all,
Have a Nissan Almera. Another post here made me think of posting this. I got all the brake pads replaced a few months ago on the car. I noticed that when I turned left, there was a grinding noise coming from the front left wheel. At first I assumed it may have just been the pads being "worn in". However, it hasnt gone. I have also noticed it slightly when I am simply slowing down/moving off. Im thinking one of a few things, so I would appreciate any thoughts on it.

    - Sticking caliper (Although there doesnt seem to be any drag issues)
    - Caliper too tight
    - Wheel bearing gone (had been going before hand)
    - Wrong pads (They were from a set, so I would assume it would happen on all of them?)

    Thanks

Did you get down and have a look, it could be a can of coke.

Haha. I prefer to keep those cans for the front wheel on the push bike :D

jeez, at least get down and have a look will ya. Take off the wheel and then perhaps take a couple of well lit photos of the suspension and post em here, otherwise it's crystal ball stuff which boards.ie is of course famous for!

Yup you'll have to get down on your hands and knees, I wasn't making the coke up, I had a similar problem caused by a stone.

Since it is happening when turning left and moving off, I'm struggling to see how it could be the brakes. I'd be thinking of a CV joint or bearing.

Apologies, I thought you were taking the mick with the coke can! Ive had a good look and cant notice anything different. Heat seems the same. Same amount of break dust. Cant notice any more wearing. Could the replacement of the pads caused the bearing (that was already on its way out) to give up?
