Calling all fans of The West Wing...

Hi to all reading this,

I am a huge fan of The West Wing. When I went back to college a couple of years ago (numerous jobs and 3 kids later) I decided I wanted to study areas I'm really interested in, such as television and politics. To cut a long story short, I'm now a PhD student conducting research into The West Wing and its Irish fans. My particular interest is in researching the significance of political television drama to the lives of its fans, and any links that might exist between watching a show like The West Wing and how we think about and express our own political identities.

Mr. E has very kindly allowed me to post this message here before he moves the post over to the Surveys and Non-Media Research forum.

If any West Wing fans would be interested in taking part in my research, or would like some more information about my study, please pm me or post a message here and I will follow up.

Funnily enough I am watch The West Wing right now.

It kind of ruined television for me though, because nothing else shapes up

I've watched seasons 3 - 7 on a number of occasions, but bought season 1 and 2 on VHS, and haven't seen any of them in years. I must buy the dvd version.
