Can't Decide Which Launch Title for 3DS

OK, so approaching launch date for the 3DS and obviously I'd like to get a new game with it, a launch title.

I basically have three options, I can get Street Fighter, Lego Star Wars or just use the backwards compatibility function on the system and play Mario Kart DS until such time as another title opens up?

Street Fighter has a proud history and I've been playing this game for over 20 years - it was one of the first titles I ever played in an Arcade - and I love the idea of a SpotPass function and the fact that the title adds a lot more to the 3DS then simply a simple port. Even if I would have preferred Marvel vs. Capcom

Lego Star Wars is fun, it's a bit of action, and the cut scenes and "dialogue" make for some good laughs, while going around and blasting everything (in a game where you can't die) can add up to some serious play time. The only reservation I have about this one is whether or not it's anything other then a standard release - considering the DS will get a copy, the PC, the 360 and so on - is there anything special about this release being a 3DS launch title?

What do you think I should do?

Personally I'd get SSF4 and StarWars amongst others but if you're in a position where you can have only one game then I'd opt for the game with the most longevity and not rely on DS games to hold you over

I think Street Fighter, looks like it's been tuned more to the 3DS, while Star Wars seems more like a port.

Think I'll go for pilotWings, or Monkey Ball.

Street fighter seems like the more connected game.
They've worked hard to try and use all the wireless features of the 3DS.
I don't know much about lego star wars.

Deffo getting Pro Evo but I'm torn on my second one to get.
Was hoping Professor Layton would be out on release day but doesn't look like it now. So it's between Pilotwings and Street Fighter I suppose..

Don't mean to gun the game down or anything but how well will the SF 4 game be on the smallish d-pad? I haven't held a 3DS or anything but if it's the same size as a NDSLite one then... I really would find it difficult myself.

A hell of a lot easier than a crappy xbox 360 d-pad. It will be pretty much like playing SF2 on the snes. You can assign hot keys too. DOA has a bad rep for being a fan service game but it's a solid fighting game.

I had the pleasure through work to test out most of the confirmed 3DS titles some weeks back and definitely, of the launch selection, SFIV is without a doubt the one to get. The Dynamic Camera, though I don't know how easy it is to get used to, definitely shows off exactly what the 3DS is about and graphically it's beautiful!

Of the titles on the way though, Zelda is obviously fantastic. Couldn't believe the graphics overhaul and the 3D is applied very well (nearly feel like the 3DS is going to open up arguments similar to the filmed in or retro fitted with ones RE: 3D film)

PES 2011 aswell, coming form a non-soccer or soccer game fan, the 3D effect is just spectacular in this. Really tailor made for sports titles methinks.

How would it be towards the Classic Controller for the Wii? I never had a SNES, just a Megadrive. :o

The classic controller is basically a Snes controller with an analogue stick on it. The D-pad is far better than the 360- D-pad but it's not as good as the Megadrive D-pad.

It looks like we're getting DOA dimensions on lauch date but the Yanks are not getting it until May.

Personally I'm going for Pilotwings OP. Torn between a few but I got a hands on with Pilotwings in Smyths and was instantly sold.

I'm most likely to get SFIV3D but I have to admit I'm very tempted by Ghost Recon Shadow Wars - billed as a cross between Advance Wars and Fire Emblem. Very little information out about it, hoping a decent review will land before launch day.

I think SSF4 will play very well on the 3DS. If you haven't played SSF4 on another console, you should snap this up on release. It's a superb fighting game.

It has just been announced (on their facebook page) that Gamestop will be having a midnight opening for the 3DS.
