I just have a few questions about Aprovel for high blood pressure. I know the drug works on hormone release related to sodium absorption by the kidneys and to help stop arteries narrowing so how can it effect libido?

Its generic name is irbesartan, which belongs to a class called angiotensin receptor blockers.

Basically, there's a chemical in your body (angiotensin II) that causes your body to raise blood pressure. The drug blocks the receptors that this chemical acts on and thereby reduces it's potential to increase blood pressure in the body. Not sure how/if they affect labido.
