Anytime I go into Harvey Normans to buy their special offers, they never have any!!

Absolute jokers. If that wasn't bad enough they always try and get you to buy a similar product that is much dearer.

In defence of HN, I got my iGhost from them at a special offer price many moons ago.

Must defend them also, I had been looking at and chatting to a lad in there about a laptop which was marked down from €700 odd to €629, when I went to buy it the sale had officially ended but they still gave me the money off.

Always found their customer service to be good as well...Power City etc are grand for cheap tat but in HN at least you're looked after and they're open to a haggle.

    Plenty deals in here.

Anyone have any experience in the Finlux TV's....im looking at the 26" for €227?
I have a finlux. No complaints at all. Love it.

never buy anything from them for asking price. You'll always get at least 10% off, unless it's already reduced in sale.

True, it's crazy though. How many people would go in looking for a laptop or whatever, see the one they want for €600 but not being a haggler, walk out and get it elsewhere for €540 (10% off).

Just drop your damn prices Norman and stop whinging about sales being down.

the odd time they are good for a bargain. got gt5 off them on reelease date for 47 euro, but most of the time d.i.d and powercity are far cheaper. they had an oven priced a while back for 629 (600 for cash) went to d.i.d who had it for 639 and the girl there said to give her 580.
I suppose if i went back i'd probably get more off in harveys but then i'd be back and forward all day. the staff in these stores dont seem to mind the haggling and are used to it now.
Besides that though, the harveys (clown) ad on the tv now is bloody annoying.(worst yet)

    Thanks for the alert.

Anyone know what the Techwood TVs are like? There are various sizes, down to a 16" LED with an MPEG4 tuner (presumably) for €88.

Ha, March Madness alright. Brother bought a Tosh laptop just before this 'event' for €400 less than the Mad price now!

    It is what it's.

There's only 3 toshiba laptops on the madness page, and the most expensive is €579.

Did he buy a laptop for €179 or under from HN?

Just guessing but probably a comma missing from the post, probably meant bought one for €400, less than the march madness price. I bought my Tosh laptop c650D for €379 in January - looks like a similar Tosh one is €429 now so see what he meant.

    I see!
For what it's worth, I've been keeping an eye on toshiba laptops on saveonlaptops.co.uk and the price of them there has all gone up since December.
