Ive just replaced the motherboard on a compaw nx6310, wasnt able to boot into windows so did a bit of googling and found out some people could boot after disabling dual core cpu in the bios. so i tried this and windows booted. (was having issues with the cmos claiming the time was wrong too but i rectified this by booting into windows and setting the time) so basically now the laptop is working as it should but only as a single core machine, Ive updated the bios to the latest version but i cannot make this boot in dual core mode no matter what i do.

is there somthing im overlooking? the motherboard is a second hand board and when i say it wont boot, it wont boot from any sort of media.
