hi guys, I'm looking for advice or information on how to thread water properly without getting burntout after a minute. I've tried the egg beater which was recommended by a friend but i still find myself getting tired and sinking after a short period of time. i see people thread water and they make it look so easy and effortless, how do they do it ? any advice is grately appreciated !

hi, i struggled with this for a long time until i got an excellent book on swimming. basically you need to remember your buoyancy in the water is based on the air in your lungs, not how much you kick or use your arms.that is when you exhale you drop, so you only really need to use your limbs to give a little push up when you are exhaling. you can float quite effortlessly in the water in an upright position for a long time this way. your hand and leg movements only need to be gentle and are only to aid bouyancy while exhaling.

slow it right down, control your breathing, and sit a little lower in the water, it should help prevent fatigue
