Fantasy Shares

    I have 100k to spend on shares in a fantasy competition. Can anyone suggest where to put my money. They will be sold at the end of May to see who wins the competition.The shares must be on the Irsh Stock Exchange ISEQ

    I was thinking of investing in FBD, Glanbia, Kenmare Resources, Kerry Group, Paddy Power and United Drug but I can only pick 5.

    Bit of game theory here, you should probably throw your whole lot into one volatile stock if you want to have any chance of winning.

    Putting your 100k into a number of stocks will decrease your probability of generating significantly large returns, which is probably what is required to win a competition with a large number of participants.

    Any reason for Tullow Oil.
    Surely oil company shares cant keep rising.

    Of course they can! If the Saudi royal family is ousted all hell will break loose!

    What about the potential for war in Iran.

    Algeria could also bubble over.

    Or not... but I'd still have them in my fantasy portfolio considering the dogs listed on the ise.
