    Hi

I've had a look about here and can't find the info I'm looking for ...I have a Dell Latitude D600 and I'm pretty sure the hard drive is shot so looking to replace - can I replace it with something like this ? http://www.ebuyer.com/product/131287 and could I go down the cheaper route and get a generic drive ie: are generics any good ? also any recommendations on where to get best price ?

    Thanks in Advance
    Gav

Any 2.5 inch ata ide drive will work in it.
If you have your data backed up ,format it .you could use it in a caddy, just dont use it for important data.when drives start grinding,or become noisy thats a sign they are nearly dead.
