Just tried WE7 - basically a music subscription service (similar to Spotify which is not available here) - allows yOu to stream pretty much any music you want to your iPhone or iPod touch - or download to device when in wifi. Excellent app and service!!
    9.99 a month

Great service, I use it on the computer the whole time because its free but ad-supported. They are due to release their new App for iOS devices soon, which will allow you to streamed personalised radio stations and cache them too. It will all be free but ad supported. We may not have Spotify but We7 is a great alternative.

I have been using this for the past 3 months and its flaky to say the least.
I have moved back to spotify which is much more stable.
    Really bad with 3g.
Setting up playlists is a nightmare and choice of music is terrible.

If they upped their game a bit it would be a great service but it is bad at the moment.
I was constantly in touch with support, logging bugs and suggestions etc.
The PC version is quite good but the iphone app is dreadful.

    Just letting you all know.

1 day in - and fine so far for me - but will keep an eye on it.
I have used the web interface on pc to set up playlists - agreed that setting up playlists through the app is not the best - the search feature lets it down.

As for music choice - I have found everything I wanted musicwise (bar Wilco).

Haven't used Spotify - how are you getting that to work? UK IP???

I believe the App that requires a subscription is in the App Store, but this new App that will allow you to cache radio streams has yet to come out as far as I know.

I have an itunes uk account so I download the app from there.
I setup my credit card against paypal.co.uk and chose paypal as the payment method from spotify site.

It might be the case that WE7 has improved but I prefer spotify.
It has a wider selection of music that I like and also adding albums to playlists is a doddle whereby WE7 just adds songs individually (well it did when I had it).
It was a nightmare to organise playlists and as I said, it kept cutting out over 3g.

if you need any help with spotify or an invite, let me know.

Unfortunately. The We7 app requires a paid We7 Premium+ account - no free, ad supported version in the App store at the moment.

Shame, really - could be really good.

Are there any other limitations Sham?
Did I hear that you have to log in from a UK IP once a month or something?

I don't have to log in to the site at all now if i don't want to.
In saying that my boss set this up originally using a uk VPN.
I think my card is setup so paypal debits the amount every month.
If you need any more help let me know.
    Cheers.
    Sham.
