I am looking to trade my car and I am wondering which car would be the best for fuel efficiency. My current car is petrol and is costing 80e per week to fill and Im getting about 600k to 650k out of a fill. The car has about 140km on it, but is fairly reliable and the loan is paid off, serviced regulary.

I am thinking of changing over to diesel due to cost of fuel and probably reduced road tax on my future car 08 onwards. Am I wise to change and will i get much better fuel economy out of the new car and save money? or would i be better off holding on to what I have??

1.4 TDi polo. amazing economy and tax of 105 euro per year.

Dads filled his to the brim last week, set off on a 100 mile (motorway) round trip, arrived back home and the needle hadn't dipped off full.

How much motor tax are you paying per year?
Your getting about 30/33mpg from your current car.
