    Hi tinner
to change your home number you will have to call our customer services on 1901 with your account no. This should be processed within 24 hours.
If you have any problems with this, post me here.

    Hi Tony,
I called eircom on Feb 11 to cancel my eircom acc as i was changing over to UPS and a nice guy ask me if i wanted to port my number i agreed as i presumed it was keeping my number I then went back to upc who told me i could change over straight away and loose my eircom number or wait two weeks to keep it, I decided to take a new number. all was sorted or so i thought! i have now received and eircom bill for 143.99 for line and broad band that have not been in use. I have been on cc who say i now need a complaint number which they cannot give me over the phone i have to write to a lady called Maura and also write to the admin unit to cancel. Surely it cant be this hard to resolve this. Sorry this is so long

    Hi samsu

Can you please private message me with your eircom telephone number or account number before you moved to UPC?

    Thanks, Mark

    Hi samsu,

UPC work on a different network so it is possible to have eircom and UPC at the same address at the same time. if the customer want to transfer (port) their number from eircom to UPC. This is usually done as part of the transfer to UPC and when that is completed the eircom account would be ceased.

However it seems from what your telling me UPC set up a new account but not as a transfer. I checked your account and we received no tranfer request, also we have no direct request from you to close the account. So I woud suggest you contact UPC and see how they processed your account with them.

As such eircom continued to charge for the service we have been providing.

If there is something I am missing let me know.

    Thanks, Mark

    Hi Mark,
Thanks for that, but with regard to cancelling the account I did this on feb 11 and last Thursday and Friday via phone also through a complaint form and an email to customer services manager. I was told to write a letter when I was on the phone but they can always say they never received it. Do you think one of the above methods will work, as I have copies and log numbers?

    Thanks
    Samsu

    Hi samsu.

I could not find a request to cancel the account back in February, if you have a record of the date & number you called and the name of the agent you spoke to. Can you PM me the details please.

We have a record of calls made on the 14 & 15 of April I hope the agent advised you that eircom now need 30 days written notice so they should have transfer you to cancellations what take a log of the request give you the postal or e-mail address.

    Thanks, Mark
