I picked up my new 8 week old black lab pup on Saturday morning and he was stolen from his kennel yesterday afternoon. If anybody is suspiciously offered a male black lab pup could they please get in touch.

Back to the drawing board for me gundog wise :(

Keep checking Donedeal/Gumtree/Buyandsell as the scum might put it up there. Shame that these things are used for selling stolen dogs.

    That's unbelievable !!!
Was he chipped cos most of the local vets will have scanners to read the chip( dog wardens and rescue centres such as PAWS will probably have scanners as well) and I'm sure they would give you a loan of same if you "happened across him".
Are there any "likely lads" who might have robbed him ??

Best of luck in the search, you must be devestated.

Might be a weird question, where did you get the pup? i.e online off a friend or someone you didn't know? Reason I was asking awhile back there was a crowd I think in Newcastle where selling pups, they would get ur details then a few nights later, would rob it back of the new owners:mad: they done it on a few victims :( and kept reselling the pups.

I'm just giving you info on what I heard but no way saying they did. I'll keep an eye out around Clane,Maynooth and kilcock as well. Also you try ringing any vets or animal places, it could of been dumped.

Cheers for the replies lads, and many thanks to those of you who are keeping an eye out.
He was chipped, so hopefully if he ends up anywhere with a scanner he'll be picked up.
I've put signs up in all the shops and I've contacted all pounds, local vets and welfare groups.
I got him as a gift from a family friend so no foul play that side of things.
I'm just distraught about it - even though I only had him for 2 days.

    Again, many thanks.
