It began with an empty mind and eyes full of wonder, waiting to be filled with the infinite gifts this new place has to offer. He proceeds slowly, creeping, crawling and much stumbling on his journey of discovery. He is happy, exuding joy from every fibre of his being. And so it continues until the day he is told that he must enter the system. They did'nt call it that, perhaps they did'nt know.
From that moment on, unknowingly, he relinquished his power and became another puppet in the greatest show on earth. A place where they were going to pull every string and drain every ounce until the day he found blessed relief.
Not knowing this he embraced the challenges with the enthuasism of his years and in the process experienced the heady peaks of elation and the dismal sewers of dispair. And so the dance continued through the great rock'n'roll years until he arrived back to where he started. The strings that were once loose and joyful were now becoming taut and irritating. But still he performed through the good and the bad, thick and thin until the response was'nt there anymore. then followed a brief period of respite until one day the Great Puppetmaster cut the strings and he fell to the ground. Apart from his loved ones they do'nt talk about him anymore, it's as if he never existed.
