Like a lot of other people, I find myself out of work for the first time in a very long time (12 years for me).

I've looked at FAS courses blah blah, but none appeal because what I want to do (and honestly what I have always wanted to do) is be a scriptwriter.

So it's time now to do it....

What job would you like to do if you had the chance to go for it? (don't worry about the cost of training, etc, the new Government will pick that up).

I wouldn't mind being a successful Forex trader - work from home, decide your own hours, tons of money, can move countries as and when it suits, etc.
Downside is the successful bit. Apparently, like most forms of gambling, very few are successful.

Failing that, I wouldn't mind being an outgoing minister. Fair enough, you'll get the odd scowl around town, but I'd take that for the 300 grand a year Mammy O'Rourke is trousering.

Being a *good* parent requires intelligence, the standards otherwise are fairly low.

Er, dunno.. I don't really think about it.

I can easily see myself just doing menial jobs to pay for travel for the forseeable since it's been amazing over the last few years, I can't fathom myself in any kind of 9-5 all-year-'round career environment. I think I'd feel smothered. Plus I don't care much about money as long as bills and necessities are covered, so it all works out.

I like my freedom; working to live, and not living to work!

That said, when I'm too old to travel I'm pretty screwed. But I'll deal with that when it happens.
