    Going on a visit to kracow at the end of the month (mines, camps ect)
    Anyone do any shoping for gear over there? don't see many shops on the net. don't suppose they have anything like a cabelas (wishfull thinking/dreaming).......

    have been there many times have not seen anything like that . lots of markets big one at nove targ lots there quality not great mostly eastern europe items and old russian rubbish worth a look. very big you need some time about 30 minutes from bus station bus hourly hope you have a nice trip

    Don't think you'll find anything like Cabelas in Poland.

    Plenty of militaria and surplus stores though. Good value to be had on military surplus clothing. Helikon are a Polish manufacturer of military clothing. Most surplus stores have a few of their fleece and camo jackets. Good prices too expect to pay between E40 and E50 for new.

    German flecktarn pattern parkas can be found for around E20.

    Most stores have a few knives - generally cheap crap but you'll also find ka-bar.
