    It's a deal rumored to be pretty much the exact same as the current one we have with Puma which still runs for another year.

    I predict white Jerseys and Navy shorts in our future with the away strip alternating between yellow and blue :p

    they do have cool names for their stuff though like combine bolt compression T shirt - sounds like a gun
    Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and Under Armour (NYSE:UA), the U.S.-based leader in performance apparel, footwear, and accessories, announced today a global partnership agreement and technical sponsorship. The five-year collaboration is Under Armour’s first kit supply agreement with a Barclays Premier League team and represents the Brand’s largest European team sponsorship.
    Beginning with the 2012/2013 season, Under Armour will provide Tottenham Hotspur with performance apparel, including training wear and playing kit for the Club’s First and Academy teams, together with replica product for the Club’s supporters around the world.
    Founded in 1996 by current President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman, Kevin Plank, Under Armour is the originator of performance apparel - gear engineered to keep athletes dry and light throughout the course of a game, practice or workout. Recognised as the fastest growing performance brand in the United States, Under Armour has an unrivalled reputation for innovation with every product designed to improve athlete performance.
    Daniel Levy, Tottenham Hotspur Chairman, said: "We are delighted that Under Armour will become our new technical partner from 2012 onwards. They are an extremely ambitious brand with global aspirations, making them ideal partners for Tottenham Hotspur.”
    Under Armour CEO and Founder, Kevin Plank, added: “This is a highly significant and exciting partnership for Under Armour. Aligning with an elite organization like Tottenham Hotspur demonstrates our deep commitment to growing the Under Armour brand in the UK and to showcasing our apparel and footwear on the world’s most prestigious athletic stages.”
    While this marks Under Armour’s first Barclays Premier League team kit supply agreement, select players continue to wear Under Armour boots during Barclays Premier League matches. In addition to Tottenham Hotspur, Under Armour’s European athletic partners include Bundesliga side Hannover 96 and the Welsh Rugby Union.
    Some of Under Armour’s roster of athletes include Olympic Gold Medallists Michael Phelps and Lindsey Vonn, as well as American football player and Three-Time Super Bowl Champion, Tom Brady.

    Actually reports from America value the deal at ten million a season (USA today) and our current puma deal at 5 so that looks like a very good deal.

    Last week, the club signed a five-year kit deal with American sports clothing manufacturer Under Armour, and the company has confirmed that it is planning to include its “E39” technology in the shirts.

    It is comprised of sensors that send second-by-second updates on everything from a player’s heart rate to core body temperature, breathing rate and acceleration.

    Smartphones and laptops receive the data so that coaching staff can monitor players’ fitness and performance during training and matches.

    The Baltimore-based company, which is understood to have signed a deal with Tottenham Hotspur worth £10 million a season, also wants to share the information with broadcasters. That would give fans unprecedented access to players’ athletic performance and even state of mind during key moments in a match.

    Mark Dowley, Under Armour’s executive vice president, said: “We can metrically tell you what is happening to the body of somebody kicking a penalty in front of 60,000 people.


    “You can watch his heart rate as he waits to take the kick. For the first time you can see inside an athlete as they perform. It adds to the drama.”
    He added: “You could also tell who the best conditioned athlete is on the pitch and over the season, and when to pull a player out because he’s worn out.”
    Dowley said he believed that more Premier League teams will be interested in the technology once they see Tottenham employing it.
    However, the Premier League would be unlikely to allow the technology to be shared with broadcasters unless it was available to all 20 clubs in the division — something that would probably depend on Under Armour reaching a commercial agreement with the league itself.
    The kit would also require regulatory clearance from Fifa, which could mean it is initially limited to training applications at Tottenham.
    The technology was developed by Under Armour in partnership with American data software company Zephyr, which produces similar applications for the US military.
    Under Armour launched the E39 shirt in Indianapolis at the NFL Scouting Combine last month, a week-long televised showcase of the best emerging American football talent, which saw it successfully share player data with broadcasters.
    The company believes E39 could be used successfully in almost any televised sport. It is planning to sell a retail version of the kit.

    Be intresting what kind of stats they use obviously some stats they wouldn't like to be shared the heartbeat while taking the penalty and stuff would be fine but if the opposition had all this information on your players you wouldn't be too impressed.
