To trade or not to trade, that is the question.

I am thinking about putting one of my Atari Jags up for trade with a couple of games. This think is mint and still in its box(which is a little bit tatty on the outside).

Should I do it or hang on to it? I have another one anyway and would like to get a few new bits without spending any cash. What would I get for a mint Jag?

I'd say go for it. I've been getting rid of all my multiples of consoles lately. It's quite nice freeing up the room..plus as you said, it's a good way of getting new things without having to spend any money :)

Well going by Swedish ebay prices, you could basically retire.

Seriously though, a boxed Jag with games...is it €120/150 ish?

Really depends what the games are. There's a Jag on ebay.ie at the moment with 7 games and it's in the €50 region. Still hasn't ended though.

I would have thought a boxed up Jag in mint condition with no games would be worth about €50-€60 at a guess.

Really? I thought they'd have fetched a bit more than that. Prices are fluctuating a lot though these days, as we seen with cabs etc.

Well it is in as new condition without even 1 microscopic mark on it, not one.

The only thing is the outside of the box is a little bit tatty and I'm not happy with that but it cant be helped. I would include Brutal Sports Football, Cybermorph, Alien vs. Predator and maybe one or two other games as I'll be bringing this Jag up from Kildare to Dublin at the weekend and am not 100 percent sure what other games I have there. Also has 1 controller in mint condition. All games are boxed as far as I can remember except cybermorph that came with the console.

I bought the whole lot all new and still in sealed boxes about 5 years ago and it was only played about once every couple years to make sure still it worked, I'm not a huge fan of the Jag games so it really only gets plugged in to test.

I think I will put it up here on the trade section at the weekend and see what people are willing to trade for it. So if anyone is looking for one keep an eye out there. I'll stick lots of pics up as well.

Hopefully I can trade for something worthwhile.
