My 1998 Rover 400 lost acceleration on me this morning, was running fine then suddenly there was no pressure on the pedal, I had the foot to the floor but no revs at all!

Any ideas whats happened? And also if you can let me know of any good garages in the inchicore, drimnagh, bluebell area (or anywhere in Dublin really)that can fix it at a reasonable cost. I've just moved up to Dublin and am totally clueless!

Is it still moving when you let up the clutch?

Sounds like your throttle cable is after snapping. Easy enough fix for a garage.

I'll say that acceleration cable tensioner snapped.
Can't tell a good mechanic in your area.

I'm not too far from the locations you mentioned. As for cost it'd a very cheap fix if it's the accelerator cable.
Give me a ring and I'll get you back on the road tomorrow!
