Mid/low heel shoes

    Hey,

Does anyone know of any websites/store that do nice low/mid-heel shoes in either a 6, 6.5 or 7 please? Wedges are also an option!

I've looked everywhere and just cannot find anything I like, all I've seen are heels brogues, shoes with pointy toes (similar to what my 50yo+ auntie wears), bling shoes, boots etc. I'm not too keen on Irregular Choice.

Budget is around €30 per pair, if I can get a good pair that will last a while, I'll spend a bit more on them.

Also, has anyone got any tips for learning to walk in high heels? Currently I have a pair of boots that are about 2" high and I'm having problems walking in them (probably cos there a little too big! :()

    Thanks for any help!

i think new look is probably one of the best places to go for shoes on a budget! they have a great variety (although finding a size can be a challenge sometimes). be warned- they do have a lot of horrible ones but i find with a root, they generally have a few pairs worth a look. they are also generally very good value.

shoes with straps are easier to walk in..dont slip off. and how do you learn? practice!

    Thank you.

I looked on New Look's website and didn't see anything; http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/shoes?trail=1002:cat30004:22006:Mid+Heel&icCategory=cat30004&bfh_gp=1&bfh_so=-bestSellerScore&bfh_ps=100

Unless they have a bigger selection in-store.

I've been practicing for ages and still haven't got anywhere, I'm close to giving up lol!

I like Clarks, they've gotten a lot better in recent years, I've got a nice pair of mid-heel t-bar shoes from there that are super comfortable to wear.

    M&S might be an option.

    Hi
was in Pennys in Blanch yesterday and they have lovely wedges, that are not too high, available in black, beige and denim. they also have a lovely suede pair with mid heel and bow on front. All priced at €13 a pair:)

Try the boots with insoles, you'll get nowhere if they are too big. As for heels, I just wore them. It's easier to wear them inside than outside, so practise inside. But if they are too big then you'll just keep slipping forward and will be off balance. I don't recall ever practising per se but when in school/college, I mostly wore block heels, and when I started wearing stilettos they weren't as high as the ones I wear now. Just built it up over time I guess.

Find a lot of Clarks shoes ugly. Office generally do a good selection of mid heel but would be outside your budget. €30 isn't really a lot for shoes to be honest, it depends on what you want them for (work, going out, etc). You might get something in Debenhams but again price may be an issue, worth keeping an eye on the sales tho

The Schuh website has a whole section on low-mid heels and theres some lovely ones. You may need to pay a bit more though but if you're looking for something you can wear for ages then buy quality!

In general, maybe, but I've found lots of nice shoes there, and they're generally better quality than high street shoes.

I don't think you'd find any decent shoes on the high street for less than €30 unless its just a one off occasion and you get them in Dunnes or Primark.

These, these, these or these are what I've found from a brief browse on the clarks size. Plus they also do half sizes.

Oh certainly they are better quality, "proper" shoe brands generally are better than clothes store shoe lines (most of my work shoes are Nine West for example but they're well outside the OP's budget). It's a matter of opinion really, the only ones from those I personally would maybe consider are the ones with the lace but even then I don't really like them. But the OP may love them!

I have, of course, seen three pairs of shoes I want to buy looking at various sites. The curse of FAP!

I know you're right, Clarks pumps and boots are generally lovely, but the heels shoes can be a bit frumpy. But if you're unused to heels like me, the comfort factor wins out :) I'd buy nine west over clarks if I had the option :D

Thanks for replying guys and for the suggestions.

I could maybe up my budget of €30, I won't set a budget, just keep looking until I find something. I don't mind paying a lot of money for something so long as they're good quality and will last more than a few wears.

I've looked at Clark's website and honestly, there is nothing there that I like at all.

Thank you for this, I'll try insoles. Are there any insoles in particular (gel, foam etc) or would any do?

I just use foam, standard Scholl ones from Boots - I have one pair of boots that I got in a 6 (last pair in world it seemed, could not live without them) that I wear with two pairs of insoles because really I'm size 5. Can wear them all day! One pair should do you though :)

Thanks for this, I'll pick some up at the weekend.

I'm normally a 6.5, but these boots are big fitting, so the 6.5 was too big, so I got the 6 and there still too big lol.:o Couldn't find a 5.5 anywhere :(
