290kph bike run in donegal

has anyone got a link to the video? it was on the news earlier but i cant find it. some guy does a 290kph run between ballyboffey and donegal town, through it up on you-tube and all the oul biddys start winging.

Yes because only biddys would find a problem with a guy travelling 290kmh on a public road as he weaves in and out of lanes on a bike...

Nobody wished anything? Just because he didn't have a near miss means absolutely nothing.

He could've hit a pothole, or a rock lying on the ground that fell off the back of the truck. What do you think that would do to a bike traveling at 290kmh?

It sounds like you look up to him for doing this or something - maybe it's based on Donegals horrendous attitude to driving/speeding... I've no idea.
At least if he done something impressive, skill-wise, we could say he was a reckless sack of shit but he surely could drive... this is just a very average driver driving too fast - plenty of them on our roads as it is.

Anyways, not posting in this thread again as I can tell it's going to become a mess and I don't need anymore infractions.

For the first 7 mins, there was no traffic and he just decided to go fast for the sake of it. What was he trying to miss the gap? Could have well ended up in it if there was a blowout.

I have to agree with this. From my experience in the last few months of traveling from Sligo to Carndonagh regularly enough, the Donegal heads don't seem to pass much heed of those driving like a tool but it is the northern mob that stand out.

Of course, not everyone in Donegal drives a southern reg yoke

I'd be tempted to say I dont care what happens to him if he only kills himself, but he probably does have a family who will miss him, and some poor member of the public will find his dismembered body on the side of the road(which I can imagine is a traumatic enough thing to have happen), not to mention the emergency services who will have to deal with another pointless, avoidable road death.

maybe he doesn't realize there are other people in the world other than himself...
