i know belkin have taken a fair amount of flak on this forum for what many claim to be a sub-standard router manufacturer.

but, it has to be said, their customer support is none too shabby! two years ago i bought the belkin n1 vision:

never had any issues until about a month ago when the router took a bad knock when i was rearranging the office. two aerials broke off, but the router still worked, until the weekend when the router began a constant reboot cycle, til it lost all power completely.

i remembered that the router came with a lifetime warranty, so this morning i called belkin support, and inquired about a replacement, thinking i was really chancing my arm on this one seeing as it hadnt been a manufacturer fault.

five minutes later i had an RMA form e-mailed to me and was told that because the n1 vision was no longer being manufactured, i would be sent a newer model. the customer support guy wasnt joking! belkin are sending me out a brand new top of the range model:

    the play max n600hd:

i had to contain my excitement, cant wait, then i can get rid of this zyxel p660hw, which, while it's a pretty nifty job, it a PITA to work with.

top marks to belkin on this one! :)
