Stayed here a few years ago - www.hotelalcantara.net/hotel.html - would have no hesitation in staying there again. Right in the middle of the Barrio Santa Cruz area - which is the heart of the old town.

Next door is a place that does flamenco shows and is well worth a visit. Also, if you go to Seville be sure to check out a bar called La Carboneria - http://www.travbuddy.com/Behind-the-Red-Door-La-Carboneria-v187979 - it can be tricky to find but it's absolutely fantastic.

Oh and don't forget to try a tinto de verana - all the Andalucians drink it. It's a mixture of red wine and lemonade - sounds horrible but it isn't!!
