Chimbonda was released by Blackburn, and is on a short term deal at QPR

Some good players in that list,

Wouldn't mind seeing Klose have a run in the Premiership.

There's some player there would be a great addition to teams pushing for the champions league there.

Chelsea activated the optional automatic 1 year extension on Bos's contract so he has another year after the summer.

I Scholes retires we should bring in Pirlo for a year or two.

**Rubs hands at thought of Pirlo**

Nah quality player. Himself, Alonso, Xavi and Scholes are a breed of their own tbh.

    Probably going to Milan.

Pirlo isn't anywhere near as good as he used to be.

Reto Ziegler is a good player.

    Here's a full list for Serie A:

Alitintop is one of those players who can play to a very high standard in a lot of positions. I would expect there to be a lot of interest in his signature. He really would be suited to the Premier League imo.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,778 ✭✭✭Pauleta

    GK Almunia

    RB Bosingwa
    CB Mexes
    CB Nesta
    LB Ziegler

    LM Larrson
    CM Pirlo
    CM Ambrosini
    RM Altintop

    ST Van Nistelrooy
    ST Super Pippo

    Not a bad team :D

EDIT: Just seen the full Serie A list there. Im sure i can make room for Del Piero and the on fire Marco Di Vaio

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,950 ✭✭✭Pinturicchio

Del Piero's contract will be renewed for one last year at Juve.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,571 ✭✭✭✭Frisbee

Wouldn't mind grabbing a few of them, namely:

Anthony Vanden Borre (23, Right back, right winger, Genk)
Hamit Altintop (28, Right midfielder, B. Munich)
Phillipe Mexes (28, Centre defender, Roma)
Piotr Trochowski (26, Attacking midfielder, Hamburg)

Mexes would be a great signing, and if it could be done on a free very Wenger.

He's awful. You wouldn't have your Championship Manager hat on would you? ;)

Mexes will be in Milan next year.

Rumors Nesta will retire if Milan win the league.

Rumors Prilo will be sacrificed to make room for younger players, his wages of 170k a week are too high and he is resisting a reduction as he knows other teams would gladly give him a 3 year 150k p/w contract where as milan are offering 90k p/w over 4 years + some bonuses.

Ambrosini will renew for a year.

M van Bommel is free in june too, if anyone wants a one dimensional thugs with a total absence of pace.

Pippo will renew, rumors he will play for free.

Wouldn't be surprising if Reto Ziegler ended up at milan either.

I thought he did alright last year. Not as first choice, but as back up to Sagna we could do worse.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,225 ✭✭✭Chardee MacDennis

Pippo to Bolton or Newcastle or something like that - would be amazing!! :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,807 ✭✭✭speedboatchase

I heard Mexes to Milan and Rob Green to Villa. Ziegler will probably go to a good Italian side.

    I wonder Pirlo will go?

Liverpool's Insua is also free in the summer, I believe. On loan at Galatasaray at the moment.

Bosingwa extended his contract until the summer of 2012. He could still leave this summer though.

Paul Scholes is in the final year of his contract too.

His work rate has gotten progressively worse in the last few seasons. Given his age and lack of commitment, I think he would be a disaster in the Premier League. Anyway, the man has his Champions League and World Cup medals, he has nothing left to prove.

Yes but largely irrelevant to other clubs as if he dosen't sign on he will retire.

I hate it when players do that.

It makes you respect the likes of Giggs that bit more.

Taiwo's been relegated to second choice LB behind the pedestrian Heinze for reasons I can't quite fathom but he'd still do a job for a lot of clubs.

I wouldn't say it's just his work rate. His legs are going and he's getting more injuries.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 18,300 ✭✭✭✭Seaneh

his work rate is as good as it ever was, his passing and vision are as good as they ever were and he is as quick as he was 5 years ago, the problem is he can rarely string a few games together.
If he could get and stay fit he'd be Milan's most important player by a long way...

I could see him going to Chelsea tbh.

    Mexes is gone fat.

Isn't it because he told Marseille he wouldn't be signing a new contract and Deschamps has taken the huff?

A summer at Milanilo and a presession in Milan Lab would fix that :-)

Wouldn't mind seeing us sign Danny Murphy, just so we could put him in the reserves so he wouldn't score against us every year.

Pity Vicente isn't the force he once was. Was a cracking player before his injury - potentially the best left winger in the world at one stage.

He took the huff because he was being dropped for Heinze all the time and they only made a token effort to get him to stay.
