I was talking to someone at the match - a horrible, disgusting tackle was how he described it. It took 17 mins to get young Eoghan Finn to Tralee general hospital. It really was as bad as it looked. Swallowed his tongue and has a broken jaw apparently but is on the mend and might be able to play against the Connaught champions in a months time.
O Se obviously got a red ( exceptionally merited) and Criost Rí went onto win.

shocking belt totally deserved a red card.

hopefully young finn will recover to make either the semi final or the final.

Disgusting tackle, but a pleasure to see a referee have the fortitude to stand up for a correct card so early in a match. On a side note, is that clip horrendously slow to load for anyone else or is it just me?

A disgraceful tackle alright, hope the young lad is alright and gets back playing as soon as possible.

Young O'Se will get his punishment, but I would hope that he isn't completely vilified over the incident. He was obviously very pumped up in a huge game and made a massive error of judgement. His name and father's reputation will mean that this will be reported nationally but it should be remembered that he is only 17/18 and will have to live with the consequences.

Once again, best wishes to the player involved and well done to Chriost Ri on their win.

Thread locked for now. I'm not comfortable with posters singling out underage players, especially seeing as I suspect this has more to do with who the lad's father is than the incident itself.
