Hi,

I have a 40" LED from philips. I have notcied lately that there is a crackling/static pop every so often from the left side (as i look at the TV screen). The TV is connected to a Sky HD box through HDMI. I have changed the HDMI cable and also changed the slot but the issue is still there. Didn't notice this when i first bought the TV. About 1.5 months old.

The issue is totally random. It also happens when watching recorded programmes on the Sky HD box.

Have not notcied the issue when watching Blu ray movies or playing Xbox but to be honest haven't had the time to do much of either.

Does anyone know if this is an issue with the TV set? I hope not as this is the 3rd set i have due to previous issues causing intermittent loss of sound when updating with supplier software patches.
