I have been offered a job in the public sector on an EO Salary does anyone know how much this is?

BTW I rejected it as I have another job lined up.

Yikes, didn't think there was much PS Administrative Grade recruiting happening at the minute. Wow, I hope the other job you have lined up is a good one, an EO position in the current climate is a pretty good offer IMO.

€29k? It couldnt have been that much?

The job was only 6 month contract and it was for an entry level job?

Yeah the other job is excellent its a graduate scheme with a massive American investment bank and its permanent contract.

€29 k sounds right for an entry at that level.

But look at what your'd bring home.

Press Control-C (Cmd-c Mac) to copy to clipboard.
    Gross Pay: 29000.0
    Pension & Ded: 2196.708
    Income Levy|USC: 1349.28
    PRSI (& Health): 895.52
    Net Tax Due 2060.6587
    Net Pay: 22497.836

    €865 per fortnight.

The only thing is the hours may be favorable or flexi-time.

Madness that wage but then again that is what a lot of my mates started on that in the private sector. Though their job is a bit more changeling then this one.

The other job pays a lot less but its in the UK so the living costs are less there. Also it give me excellent experience which in turn will let me the chance go demand a higher wage in a few years.
