    Title says it all :p
    two questions here really.

I want to upgrade my Kwa g36

I was wondering if anyone here could recommend a retailer that does upgrades and what your experiences have been (time, cost, service quality)

I am also considering replacing the front end and inner barrel to add range and accuracy. Have any of you guys tried something similar and what effect did it have on your shots?

    Hi
I'm far from an expert in these things but here is what worked for me.

MIA have done most of my upgrades an i never had a problem with them.
In terms of improving accuracy a good tight bore inner barrell is a good investment in my opinion.
For range, the best investment is a quality hop up with a good rubber like a soft guarder nub or something like that.

Quick work of warning, make sure you get your AEG chrono'd after you do your upgrades, they could end up pushing you over the 1j limit.

Thanks Gordy6040 but some a friend of mine have had a nasty experience with MIA, I'm not going to get into it here but it is enough to make me avoid MIA.

I own a chronograph and I am experienced with opening and servicing gearboxes but something always happens so I avoid it where possible, I replaced an AirNozzle on a sportsline M4 and it chrono'ed at over 1.3J so I am very reluctant to do any diy servicing again with a more expensive rifle.

I should have been a little clearer about replacing the barrel, I would be adding a longer front end and inner barrel and new hopup unit, I wanted to know if anyone has done anything similar and what effects it made to their shots, a g36c inner barrel is very short 247mm I would be adding a 509mm barrel.

a g36c inner barrel is very short 247mm I would be adding a 509mm barrel.

If you go to a 509mm inner barrel you will also need to change your cylinder to a solid type with no porting as the swept volume of your existing cylinder is less then the volume of a 509mm barrel

It's a very simple job to change barrels and hop units on G36's - easily DIYable...

You would indeed need an unveted cylinder for a 509mm barrel, you can go as far as 363mm (G36K - with the 4 hole handguard) and that's borderline.

There's really no reason to replace a G36 hop (unless it's broken that is!), it's one of the best hop designs out there. Just replace the stock rubber and nub... I've gotten great results from an element h-nub and a guarder clear rubber coupled with a 6.04mm tightbore in my lasgun/G36K.
