    interest rate ;to fix or not?????
    i am on a variable with AIB paying 827 .i can fix for 3years at 880.is it a
    no brainer? 0.25 rise would mean 26 euro extra a month if i stay on varible

    If you can afford the higher repayment then deffo fix it for three years, it may be the last time you ever get a fixed rate mortgage.

    I fixed for five years, just two days before EBS stopped offering fixed rates and I'm so glad that I did as the ECB are due to increase interest rates again next month. The banks are loosing money on fixed rates so that's why they want to get rid of them.
