    Hey all,

Just wondering as to what you would suggest the best lost iphone app would be, I have come across fonehome and taptrace, which would be the best or can anyone suggest any other ones I haven't noticed yet ?

    Regards,

    Ste-.

    P.s. it's an iphone 3GS.

You got the basic mobileme stuff (lock/reset/locate phone) in the last iPhone update.

Ah wasn't aware of that. most of those shots seem to indicate the iphone 4 however ? Does it work with the 3GS ?

Yes, it works, but Apple won't let you set it up from a 3GS. However, if you create a Find My Phone account on a iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4 or iPad, you can then add the 3GS to the account and it will work.

So I could set it up from a pc then add the 3GS ?
When I'm updating to the latest firmware ?
Don't have an iphone 4 or access to one.

No, you can't set it up from a PC. It has to be from a qualifying device - iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4, or iPad. If you don't have one, do you know anyone who does? You can use theirs to create the account and activate your 3GS.

This free feature was added in 4.2 so you don't need 4.3 to use it.

Once you set it up you can track your phone by logging in on www.me.com you don't need a phone for tracking, just to set it up.

Don't really know anyone with an iphone 4. Would the other apps do the job ?

I used TapTrace for a while. Works fine.
