Anyone here ever sell their car at an auction?

Just curious to know if there are actually any proper car auctions in the greater Dublin area these days? and how do they work? I presume you just drive your car there, put a reserve price on it and off they go?

Do you get charged for the privelage of putting your car up for auction?

Id like to hear from anyone who has used the auctions. Am thinking of putting mine in for auction, its free with Belgard but they charge you 250euro if they sell it.

What way does it work. Lets say the auction is Wednesday...I drop my car over on Tuesday, fill in the forms, set a reserve, let people have a look etc and in it goes on Wednesday night? Do randomers get to test drive it? Is it left sitting there ticking over? Or is the key taken out fo the ignition all together?

Anything i need to watch out for?
