in my opinion cheap emachines laptops quality is extremely bad

mainly hinges and dc connector, unless someone want to use it as a desktop - without moving it at all i wouldn't recommend it

Not the best make but still, specs look good for the money
    2gb ram, 250 hard disk, wifi n, 64bit win 7 premium

processor probably the weak point but will be much faster than netbook

Might be better buy than getting something second hand around the same price

Its a good deal yes, but my god does that chip look weak in comparision to even a stone age single core celeron. A celeron m925 has a benchmark of about 900, whereas this has a lower benchmark of 684. For reference sake, a dual core atom has a benchmark of 566. This would still be a lot faster than that obviously but its still alarmingly weak for a full power chip available in 2011. For more references sake, a core i3 that you'd get in a laptop for about 430€, would have a benchmark of well over 2000

Certainly no bargain then, in fact dont touch with a bargepole at that price so may as well get this:

Still cheaper than the emachines, but will be WAY better built and despite the fact it only has a low voltage celeron, it is a dual core and will still be comfortably quicker! Better battery life too! Only a 14" screen whereas the emachines is 15.6" but the reality is that 15.6" is almost too big for most people anyway

If you really needed/wanted a 15.6" laptop around that price anyway, go for something like this:
