Well guys and gals just wondering if you had any ideas who is going to be in the new cabinet.I suppose it depends how Kenny and Gilmore divide up the departments.Noonan looks a certainty for Finance,Burton Public Sector Reform.Sean Barrett likely to land Foreign Affairs,Possibly James Reilly for Health.I'd like to see Richard Bruton in an Enterprise portfolio.Kenny has a lot of heavyweights to keep happy,Varadkar has to be kept happy, not forgetting Big Phil.Lots of likely disappointed candidates Charlie Flanagan,Fergus O Dowd.Surely Alan Shatter will get the Justice portfolio if Labour do not get it.Quite a bit of speculation Coveney will land Agriculture.Pat Rabette,Ruairi Quinn et al will I am sure be in the frame for consideration.Hope Enda and Eamon can keep them all happy with the junior jobs!:D

It's absurd that geography should have an impact on the appointment of Ministers. If people are appointed due to where they're from it will be evident that this government will be no different from the last one.

Personally I'd like to see Jack Daniels in my cabinet. ;)

Seriously though, Enda has plenty of talent to choose from, but it is a shame that Geography does play a part... Such that there has to be a Cork minister etc...

James Reilly(The Doctor) campaigned in Dublin North as the new Health Minister Elect so if he doesn't get that job it be major egg on face.
Below format might be easier to use:

    Taoiseach Enda Kenny FG
Minister for Foreign Affairs Sean Barrett FG
    Tánaiste Eamonn Gilmour Labour
Minister for Education and Skills Labour?
Minister for Health and Children James Reilly FG
Minister for Finance Michael Noonan FG
Minister for Public Service Reform Joan Burton Labour
    Minister for Social Protection
Minister for Defence Phil Hogan FG?
Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government
Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sport Eamonn
Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation Richard Bruton FG
Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Simon Coveney FG
Minister for Justice and Law Reform Alan Shatter
Minister for Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs ?
    Minister for Transport?
Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources ?

+1 yet Newstalk were making such a big deal of this this morning... Its just like the comments oo having to have women, it does not matter. Just put the best person* for the job in, who cares where they are from.

(* obviously to put the best person in it would involve no politicians but you get what I mean :D)

Well they do say the logistics capability of the IDF is first rate!

I hope we don't end up with a bunch of Junior Ministers not in the cabinet just for the sake of having a fancy title after their names.

Surely Frances Fitzgerald will not get near a front line ministerial role?? She was a disastor in Dublin South East and is far from a solid seat as things stand imo.

    Taoiseach: Enda Kenny FG
    Tánaiste: Eamon Gilmore LB
    Ceann Comhairle: Michael Ring FG
Minister for Education / Skills / Labour: Eamon Gilmore LB
Minister for Health and Children: Dr. James Reilly FG
Minister for Finance: Michael Noonan FG
Minister for Public Service Reform: Joan Burton LB
Minister for Foreign Affairs: Pat Rabbitte LB
Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation: Richard Bruton FG
Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government: Phil Hogan FG
Minister for Justice and Law Reform: Alan Shatter FG
Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food: Simon Coveney FG
Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sport: Rurai Quinn LB
    Minister for Social Protection: LB
Minister for Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs: FG
Minister for Transport & Defence: FG
Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources: FG
