Super Glue stuck inside container

    Hi.

I found an old (not sure how old it is) small pot of super glue the other day. I noticed that it is solid inside the container. Is there any way to make it non solid and act like glue again or is it fit for the thrash?

    Thanks.

If you heat it up it should turn back to normal, although it might go on fire.

    Fit for the bin lad.

    1. Heat it up.
    2. Sniff it.
    3. Get high.
    4. ??????
    5. Lose job.

    1. Take old solidified super glue.
    2. Put in microwave to liquidise.
    3. ??????
    4. Profit.
More likely to be googles answer though.

im no scientican but im pretty sure I read somewhere that adding fire to glue in a small confined area will make 1000% better at gluing

Fly down to Australia or somewhere hot and leave it out in the heat. Cheapest solution...

    You're going to thrash it?

What good will that do? I'd recommend the bin...

Boil the kettle and put the hot water and the super glue in a cup.

heat wont melt it. Its not that type of adhesive. You try buying some superglue remover, which is a solvent and adding it to the pot and stirring it.

    But why would you?

    To remove the superglue?

Strange. It's almost as if it's glued to the inside somehow.

Sounds like the OP has gotten himself into a sticky situation.

    So.....

Are you actually intending on using the glue?

Or is it just that you found it, and it's doing something that it's not supposed to do, and you want to put that right?

The scientist who originally tried to create superglue ended up making the weakest glue ever which still lives today as the adhesive on post it notes. Just thought everyone would love to know that. I'll get me coat. Obviously it's an anorak.

What do the mods use to remove the stickies? Perhaps you can borrow some?
