My ex broke up with me about a month ago. I was gutted but he said the spark was gone.
So I joined a dating website about a week ago and I have been chatting to a guy for a few days now. Thing is, I have my suspicions that this is my ex in disguise. He is asking me loads about my ex and he types the same as he did.
Is there any way I can find out if this guy is who he says he is before I go accusing him of being my ex?

Would you know his email address?

If you're uncomfortable talking to the guy then block him. Don't bring up your ex with people - and if someone takes an interest in your ex it's not normal so you may be right to be suspicious.

He might just want to hear honestly what you think of him but this isn't the way to do it.

Block anybody who makes you uncomfortable, or message him and say 'Hi X I know it's you.' and then block him outright.

I had an ex that did that sort of thing, through text. He had quite a distinctive style of texting so I knew it was him pretty much from the start. Eventually, I just told the person that he was pretending to be that I wasn't interested and blocked him.

Some guys (and girls) are crazy enough to stalk an ex like this. It's weird but it does happen. Just block him completely if you're having suspicions.

I now a better way. Explain taht as you dont know him and he wouldn't no your ex tell him that your ex had a small manhood, was fumbly in bed and was very quick. If it is him it will bug him but he won't be able to admit you said it and it will then play on his mind ever time he performs. teach him for been sneaky. And sure if its not him then he will never know. Win Win.

Either way you need to block this individual you are talking to.

Either (1). he is your ex which just reaffirms he is a loser and you don't want to waste your time talking to him or

(2). He is a randomer you have been talking to for a matter of days and he is showing an unhealthy interest in your ex? It's none of his business and it's weird. Block!

    Problem solved....

People don't normally go into asking about ex's unless the person asking is actually concerned about it.
I'd wager you happened to mention to the new guy that you broke up with your ex less then a month ago, so I'm honestly not surprised he's asking allot, a little surprised he's not run the other direction.

Secondly, 'he could be my ex, he types like my ex', all raise a red flag, you sure your over the ex to even be on a looking for date terms?

And lastly if your convinced, there is absolutely no reason not to just ask him his first name, i would assume a guy and a girl chatting a while on a dating site would have no issues with providing a first name, if they match, you can either follow up with a, you don't happen to have such surname, or block the person, if the names don't match, well start questioning my second point and block the person *for his good* :)
