I've recently noticed a cavity in my wisdom tooth and the pain would come and go but i broke the side off the tooth 3 days ago and since then the pain has been more intense than any other tooth ache i've ever had and never goes away, i have to constantly rinse cold water around the tooth or the pain becomes unbearable, il be going to the dentist tomorrow but im wondering if theres anything i can do for the pain at the moment, i've tried paracetamol, disprin, solpadeine, bonjela and nothing works, the only thing that gives me any pain relief is rinsing cold water around my mouth and the pain comes back about 15 seconds later, i'm in absolute agony at the moment so i would really appreciate any help :(

i feel your pain.. what worked for me was ice packs.. or a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel after taking some pain killers... hot water bottle prob shouldnt be recommended in case you have an infection but it was the only thing that helped with my pain. you poor thing.. make sure you get to a dentist asap

Get 'Soothake' toothache gel in the chemist. Just put it into the cavity and it acts as an anesthetic. I used it a couple of years ago and it really worked.
