What helps you get back up when you're down?

Just wondering what some people do to help make themselves feel better when they're down, whether it be a death or a breakup. For me it's music, alone time and a small bit of comfort food. you?

time to sort through whatever i need to - a bit of space if i need it (that might just be going for a coffee on my own) and its important i keep laughing. whatever brings a smile to mind.. sometimes itll be watching dirty dancing, or reading a terry pratchett book, watching a comedy or a commedian. it can be a bit different with different things.... the main thing at the end of it all - for me - is to just keep doing whatever has to be done and ill get through it in the end

a really really long ( 10-20km ) walk. I walk until my knees feel stiff and sore. It rarely picks me up but it lets my mind wander and sort some things out.

PI is an advice forum for posters to post about specific issues they are having and require advice on, if you want a more general chat thread then you could try The Ladies Lounge, The Gentleman's Club, for a more serious discussion there is Humanities and for a light-hearted look at life, there is After Hours - but as this thread is not a PI, I'm locking the thread.

If you haven't already done so, you can read the charter regarding posting in this forum here

    All the best.
